Didn't get a chance to try this place as it permanently closed on 1/21/2024. We tried coming here twice in the past few weeks and 1st time it was closed for holiday and the 2nd time it was permanently closed.

I went to Furaibo many many times and all of the experience is great. All of the food is mouth watering and the workers are respectful. Foods I tried 1. Tara fish (I forgot what its called) - The fish I orderer from the menu had the most tender meat. 2. Tori soboro - According to my sister, the tori soboro (chicken rice) tastes so delicious 3. Chicken wings - best food and is spicy 4.Hanpen cheese - the Hanpen cheese is fried crispy on the outside and on the inside it is filled with creamy cheese.

The best fried chicken so far. Family owned and operated, so the ambiance is very intimate. My bf and I were here for a date night. At first it seemed a little empty, it was my first time so I was a little skeptical. But then I trusted him with food choices so we ordered a few dishes to try. This is by far the best fried chicken I've ever had. I love the fact that they only give you the flats (my favorite) and crab croquettes are also really really good that we had to order another serving.

Our favorite place for Teba! After moving in the OC we thought that we'd be going to the Gardena location more often. But lo and behold there's one in Santa Ana! We ordered our usual: Teba (mild) Soborro bowl Grilled squid House salad Pork cutlet Eggplant with miso Grilled Saba And a variety of grilled items Location and Parking: Located in a shopping center where there's a target so plenty of parking Service: The staff was very attentive and always checked in on us. Also the owner of furaibo is working here. There's other furaibo locations. We like the ambiance here much better since the tables and booths are much cleaner.

Scrolling thru Yelp to figure out what's for dinner tonight, I was shocked to see that I hadn't rated this (favorite) restaurant. I've been to this location about 3 times, when in the area, and have, of course, been to the OG in Gardena since I grew up there! Furaibo is definitely a "go to" when the craving hits. The DOUBLE TEBA SAKI course is my ultimate favorite! Those wangs! The flavor is AMAZING. A very light soy and some secret seasonings add to make this an all time favorite for chicken wings IMO plus you can dust them with your spice level of white pepper, which is another seasoning that sets these wings apart. Yes, similar to Korean wings, but different. After all, these are Japanese which originated in Nagoya, JAPAN. There is "just enough" rice, perfectly cooked, may I add, to the lunch box, and who doesn't like the perfectly shredded Japanese version of cabbage slaw, with the delicious lighter version of an Asian "thousand island" type soy dressing and just a few edamame which again, are perfectly cooked and seasoned well. I always want to try their tonkatsu, but just can't get past these wings!! My mouth is watering rn. Time for another trip.

The wings are so good. Let me start off by saying that I love wings. These were so good. I got the double something but they were basically wings. Comes with soup, rice and a little salad with choice of dressing. Service was good, I know they were running a little slow since there's only 1 lady outside and 1 guy in the kitchen. Big ups to him because as we were near the end of our meal, it was pretty crowded. Tons of parking. Cant wait to be back.

My friend suggested we have lunch here before attending K-Play Fest this Saturday. We came a little before they opened and found a spot in the back to park. There's a lot of options for spots in the front and back of the plaza - it isn't usually a struggle to find a place to park. There was only one server working that day and it seemed there was one cook present in the kitchen. Both worked to get dishes out in a timely manner for each table. We were seated quickly and given the lunch menus to look at. Unlike a lot of places, because they're open Wednesday through Monday, the lunch special applies to the weekend as well. Like many menus noted, you can order dishes a la carte. The lunch menu has some special combos that include your main course, rice, soup, edamame, and salad. My friend got their chicken which is what they're known for, another bought tofu and some chicken pieces, and I got a sweet and spicy chicken combo. The house recipe chicken is very crunchy and the meat is still moist. It is well seasoned and you are welcome to add the seasoning mix on the table if you need something else. I liked my sweet and spicy chicken - it was delicious and the flavors balanced out nicely without being overpowering or too spicy. Lunch menu was very reasonable - I paid $13.50 before tax and tip for the combo. You got a good amount of food for the price. I would come here again if I was in the area.

Santa Ana!
